Wedderburn // Autumn Wedding at the Wedderburn Tavern

Ooh I knew Becs and Corey would have a fun, party filled wedding day in Wedderburn planned with their loved ones and it did not disappoint!

Wedderburn hadn’t had rain all summer and of course, it decided to rain for their wedding, but they did not let that dampen the day at all. Corey and the guys played a round of golf in the morning before getting suited up. The accommodation had Autumn leaves coming out with complemented the suits perfectly!

Becs got ready with her crew at down the road. It was a super relaxed morning for them all. Becs had little gifts for everyone and wrote personalised cards to each of her bridesmaids with photos of them in each one. Such a nice touch and so special.

The first look was at the start of the rail trail with the iconic Wedderburn shed. Then we went to this cool schist rock area behind the tavern for views out over the valley! Becs and the bridesmaids whipped into the pub for some Fireball shots, and the guys made the way to the ceremony.

The low fog covered the hills, but it was still a beautiful spot with golden grass and hay bales set up. The pair had all of their grandparents in attendance which was very special. There was also a little surprise for Becs Mum! On her wedding day she wanted to walk down the aisle to a rock song and her Dad said no way. So before Becs walked down the aisle, her grandfather walked her Mum down to that song!

They had a beautiful ceremony with hand fasting, personal vows and lots of tears from guests watching on. The cloud lifted and they walked out to a shower of dried petals.

Cocktail hour was back at the Wedderburn pub and before the reception started a projector was put up to watch a horse race. A race that had been named “Rebecca Sinnamon and Corey Smith get married” so while the horses raced, they announced the name!

The reception was in a clear marquee which was cosy as with the sun going down. They had lovely speeches before the dance floor kicked off! We even got some sparklers out for a few photos. Such a fun day with a very cool crew! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Smith! 🥂
