Te Anau // Winter Wedding at the Manapouri Airport

Rory & Jess had a day filled with so much laughter and happiness on Friday.

These two met when the camper van Jess and her friend were driving into Milford Sound broke down and Rory was the mechanic who came to the rescue!

It was a beautiful morning in Te Anau. Rory and his friends had a fun morning getting ready together and downing a few shots along the way! Jess got ready with her besties and he family who had made the trip over from Germany for the wedding!

Just as we were about to head off for the first look it started bucketing with rain and we had to change plans for somewhere a little more sheltered than the lakefront. Under a big pine tree they saw each other all dressed up and shared private vows. There was something so beautiful about the tears mixing with rain - it was like a movie ❤️

Then it was off to the Manapouri Airport for the ceremony. It was short & sweet, with Vanessa (Jessica’s sister) doing the translating for her parents. They had platters and bubbles before heading out with the bridal party for photos.

They are all a close group of friends, so they had a great time and lots of laughs together. With the sun peaking out and snow on the mountains we couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon!

A little detour to pick up Mac the dog was well worth it, so they could have some sunset photos with their fur baby. Te Anau put on a gorgeous sky and Mac was a very good boy.

The evening reception was held at the Te Anau Club. The night was filled with heartfelt speeches, good food and some sweet dance moves! Jess had a special choreographed dance with her Dad, which ended in them all playing blow up guitars - it was so much fun and had everyone ready to hit the dance floor.

Such a cool day! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Stock! 🥂
