Scott & Taylar were visiting NZ for a friends wedding earlier this month. With a trip around the country planned, they divided it would be the perfect time to elope. Just the two of them.
They got ready together at accommodation right by the lakefront because… their elopement was taking place on a historic cruise ship - The Faith!
They had a private hire, so the entire boat to themselves and the capitan could sail it where they wanted. We picked a little bay that was quite sheltered across the lake as a ceremony spot.
They read private vows that had everyone in tears (even me) before exchanging rings and popping some bubbles to celebrate!
Then it was time for some drinks & snacks on board before exploring the boat. On the was back to Te Anau, Adam (the owner) pulled out a set of bag pipes and played a first dance while the wind whipped past and the moody skies came in. It was also super emotional and moments like this, which are unplanned are my absolute favourite.
It was a fabulous evening and one they will remember forever ❤️
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Mehaffey 🥂
