I think a lot of people woke up in the middle of the night of Friday listening to that torrential rain and had all their fingers crossed that it would stop by lunchtime! Thankfully it did and we got the most stunning day for Shannon & Coles wedding.
Cole got ready with their son Harry & his guys (who had a pretty big night previously and all gave themselves matching tattoos) - so it was a laid back morning with this crew of close friends.
Shannon got ready in town with their daughter Briar & her gal pals. She had put so much detail into everything - even a little locket with photos of her grandparents attached to the bouquet. We did a first look with Dad which was super cute. How could he not shed a little tear when his daughter & granddaughter stood there looking like a picture in their beautiful gowns 🥰
The ceremony was held on Shannon's parents property. They had a view out over the paddocks, florals down the aisle & lots of guests eager to see these two married! It was a beautiful ceremony, followed by drinks and snacks in the gardens where bar leaners and a drinks station sat.
We took the bridal party off for some photos and this group was so much fun. The laughed and laughed the entire time, just soaking in the good vibes and sunshine!
The reception was in a big marquee tin the paddock that had been decorated to the nines. Candles, flowers, signs and all the little details, including knee rugs if it got cold. There were lots of beautiful speeches and great food.
We whipped out for golden hour to get a few pics and so Shannon & Cole could practice their first dance. They nailed it and the dance floor was absolutely pumping - Cole even pulled out his bagpipes and joined in with the band for a song. It was a real party and everyone was on fine form!
Congratulations Mr & Mrs McKinnon! 🥂
