Ok imagine this… you decide to have a super chill registry wedding and them slip away to Queenstown for an epic 12 course meal at Amisfield Winery before heading back to your luxury accommodation across the road that has an INFINITY POOL!!
You wake the next morning to blue skies, phenomenal panoramic views over Lake Hayes and a few nerves, but mostly excitement.
You and your partner get ready together into wedding attire and spend the day on a private tour, visiting wineries around Gibbston Valley and Bannockburn.
Lunch is at Mt Difficulty and copious amount of delicious wine is consumed as you continue on through the afternoon visiting picturesque spots.
The nerve wracking part is about to come though - a surprise ‘birthday dinner’ at Kinross, where you get to tell your parents that, hey, so, this is not actually a birthday dinner… we got married!!! 🥳
Well you don’t need to imagine, because I got to be there to photograph it all and you can see all of the goodness in this post!!! Woohoo!!
All of their friends found out but receiving an invite that basically says “hey, we tried to invite you, but you weren’t home” and enclosed was Polaroid photos from in front of their houses/with their pets/in their town etc… so these two had been working on this since Sept last year! So so stoked they pulled it off and kept the whole thing a surprise 😊
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Shirley! 🥂
