Oamaru // Backyard Wedding + Victorian Precinct

Chanel & Nick came over from Sydney to get married in Oamaru. The weather put on an absolute scorcher of a day - so bringing some Aussie feels to the day too!

They both got ready in this beautiful old house up on the hill overlooking the harbour. Nick had has brother over from Canada and friend from Aus as his groomsmen, while Chanel had her 4 nieces (who were so cute in their little pink dresses & parasols).

After getting dressed and doing a first look, we headed to the nearby gardens for some photos. They also had a vintage car that met us in the Victorian Precinct for photos afterwards!

The ceremony was held in sister Elle’s backyard, which had been decorated to the nines with a bar, bar leaners, hay bales, festoon lighting, flowers and a marquee for the reception.

The ceremony was beautiful. A chicken got very agitated and it started and made a scene, which had everyone giggling before they exchanged vows, cut the cake and walked out to a petal toss.

The reception was decorated with pastels and pops of colour. It was an intimate affair and lots of speeches, good food and drinking was had. To kick off the dance floor Chanel & Nick had a 3 song choreographed dance that they totally nailed!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Jaffer! 🥂
