Caitlin and Doug have the most beautiful property just outside of Garston. It has a river nearby and is surround by mountains- the perfect backdrop for a wedding!
The forecast was looking quite foreboding, with rain and a chilly temperature. Surprisingly though it cleared up a bit and the sun came out.
Doug got ready at home with his groomsmen, while Caitlin got ready at a lodge in Athol. When she pulled up to the ceremony, the weather had cleared enough that they did the outdoor option by the river.
Doug had a the biggest grin on his face as the kids walked down the aisle, followed by Caitlin & her Dad. They said beautiful vows to each other as the rain came down, but somehow that made it all the more special!
Walking out to a shower of petals everyone made a run for the marquee.
Somehow we also managed to get a helicopter up to one of the mountains overlooking the area! The views were stunning and these two really enjoyed 15 min so of alone time before escaping the oncoming storm, back to the party!
The reception was awesome - with custom cocktails being served at the bar, heartfelt speeches, good food and they had a bucking bull! It went down an absolute treat and I have no doubt that a majority of the guests will have take a ride before the night was out.
It was so cool to see all of the planning come together and so many family and friends from Australia surround these two on such a special day. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Broekstra! 🥂
