Dan and Emma love motorbikes and a bit of adventure! They travelled across the States on Harleys and have so many awesome stories to tell.
I knew they would be such a fun couple and the wedding would be wicked with the motorbikes and waterfalls in the Catlins.
Emma and the girls got ready at a beachside Air BnB. I loved the big sparkly gown that Dan had chosen for Emma. It is so different to anything she would normally wear, making it that much more special.
I was a super relaxed morning for the guys getting ready at River Ridge. They did a bit of clay bird shooting in the morning before setting up the ceremony area.
It looked awesome. Dan had a handmade red silk shirt that popped against the greenery of the forest and looked amazing with his biker boots and black waistcoat.
It was the best moment when he saw Emma walking down the aisle towards him. You could tell he was so chuffed to be standing there with all of his friends and family.
It was a short and sweet ceremony – Dan finally got to put on his ring which he was so proud of!
Before the wedding Emma and Dan had King and Queen symbols tattooed on their ring fingers.
They got matching tattoos after their trip across the states on their calves with King and Queen on the number plates of the Harleys. It is all of those little details that are so important to capture on a wedding day.
We headed off with the bridal party to the beach to run barefoot in the sand before finishing up dancing in front of the Purakunui Falls. It was a beautiful and warm afternoon – so chilled out and with only two location we were not rushing around which was nice.
The reception was decorated with 100’s of fairy lights hanging from the roof.
After heartfelt speeches and a delicious dinner it was time to hit the dance floor and party the rest of the night away!
I loved getting to capture Emma and Dan’s story – seeing the way they look at each other and just how brimming with happiness they were, it was just magic.
